I hired Tim based on a referral. It was a mistake. As time went on, it became apparent he was having a lot of personal and financial issues then. While Im sympathetic and patient, I did hire him to perform a service and I expected results. Instead, he seemed more focused on money than instruction. I learned next to nothing from him. I basically wasted $1000 with him and it stings to this day. Midway, I gave up and used a rival instructor.
He never returned my my calls or responded to my texts when I requested a partial refund, nor did he ever attempt to rectify matters.
Hopefully hes regained control of his life and business. I think hes basically a good person. But beware.
This guy should not be in business. My fiancé was supposed to have his dmv drive test today and at 7am received a text from Tim stating he cannot make it and that his school is closing. He could have told him this last week, but decided to leave him hanging. He is going through some hard stuff, but to be completely unreliable and not deliver the service that was paid for is unacceptable. This school might be a little cheaper than the others, but do not be fooled… its a rip off!
Tim Johnson at 101 school of trucking is an excellent instructor. No matter what your skill level is. If you need to learn to shift a 10 roadranger or to double clutch or to learn how to use a clutch. I recommend Tim Johnson. I just passed my DMV driving test on the first try. Tim Johnson is patient and professional as an instructor. Thank you Tim..
