The Principle, Miss Marquita Murphy, is an inspiration and very dedicated to the students! She has gone above and beyond for my son. Though there are many wonderful leaders there, some bad apples stand out from the rest. Particularly the middle school Community Learning teacher. Even though this teacher is acknowledged as an incompetent teacher, Summit says they are unable to replace her due to staff shortages. I ended up pulling my son from the school because I felt anymore time with the teacher was harmful emotionally! The kids in that class deserve a caring and emotionally intelligent leader as their needs are more complex.
This is my daughter’s first year attending this school. She has changed a full 360 since being here. She now has a happiness to learn and she is not scared to go to school any more. At her previous school she cried every day with the thought of bullying and the pressures her previous school had on her.

Here at Summit Academy I feel, as a parent, they have a passion of learning. They want to see your child succeed and they keep you updated and informed on your child’s progress on a daily bases. I am pleased with this school and am thoroughly happy I found it.
