Mostly hit or miss with the staff: you could get someone that actually does what a teacher is supposed to do and, if you’re lucky, more. Other times, you could get a pinhead that mostly blames your bad grades on your phone (even if you dont have one; saw this happen with another student), thinks that correcting the teacher or defending yourself from something you didnt do is “rude backtalk”, and thinks they’re smarter than Einstein, all because they’re a “teacher”. “Why do i know this? Im a teacher! Its my job to know this” (not a reliable reason, more like a shallow excuse). Reading some reviews here, i also learned that apparently there was a drug issue in the 90s ??
I am a proud parent of three students of VHHS. All they were at magnet section of the school. Very intelligent, smart and carrying teachers (Dr. Marcel M. van Baal, Mr.William L. Reinhart, Mr. Daren McCrary, Ms. Lauri Manaka……….) many thanks to them. As a prove and direct result of their hard job are my twin boys who has got excepted by YALE University. Many thanks to Principal of the school Dr. Edward A. Trimis . As well as Coach Gregory “Jared” Gibson and Mr. John Lee
