My children have been students at Saints Simon and Jude for 6 years and we absolutely love it! I think what makes SSJ so special is the community you find both in and out of the classroom. My kids are very different, but both have found a way to be involved at the school, and this sense of belonging makes them feel invested and connected. Whether it be through the theater program or CYO sports, there are so many ways for the students to get involved and form meaningful relationships. The teachers are kind and thoughtful; many of them going above and beyond for their students. Finally, the parent involvement is really special. The school hosts several events throughout the year (some including kids, some without) which foster a strong sense of community and connection. My husband and I fee grateful to be a part of this supportive and fun community.
I cannot say enough wonderful things about Saints Simon & Jude. With three children, we have spent 9 years at SSJ, including preschool for our youngest. The teachers challenge the students to the appropriate level, understanding that every child has different strengths and address their weaknesses in a manner that allows the child to feel supported. SSJ’s after school programs include competitive CYO sports, a growing theater program, music, art, and technology – there is something for everyone. The school offers many social opportunities for parents and kids, which makes for a very warm and welcoming community. SSJ is a very special place!
