We moved to the area for one school year due to my husband’s job. We chose PCA simply because of their inviting website and because they would have an opportunity for my middle daughter to participate in a school play. But everything from then until now has exceeded our expectations.

PCA office and elementary principal were great with answering my questions from afar since we couldn’t travel to the area due to Covid. We committed without seeing the school.

Since day one we have been beyond pleased with this school, staff, and community. Other than my kindergartener and fifth grade daughter being extremely happy with their teachers and classmates, I have been amazed at the top-notch academia. I work in language and literacy training and student remediation, and PCA is getting right what I have seen the majority of schools in several states struggle to do. The science behind reading is being used in the kindergarten classroom and my fifth grader has excelled in higher level writing and reading comprehension.

My children’s safety, acceptance, and excelled education was worth the investment in PCA. We have been to schools that were not necessarily better because we were paying, but this decision was worth every penny. PCA has options for several different types of learners; my child’s needs were met with the classroom and gifted program, yet there are additional alternatives which PCA was acknowledged for during their accreditation, so take a look.

I have two children at PCA. We have had a great experience for the past five years. Small (but not too small) classes and a family/high standards driven atmosphere. I have been most impressed during this period of “remote learning”, so I wanted to share that experience.
Schools were closed the weekend of March 13th. By that Monday, March 16th, we had everything we needed to continue learning without skipping a beat. All of the lower school kids were already set up on Google Classroom for various school projects, and the upper school kids already used Google Classroom for both in and out of school work on their school provided laptops, so they were very familiar with it. The constant communication from and availability of teachers and the administration was great. I heard stories from mothers with children at other schools who were frustrated that their children weren’t receiving the same education because of school closures. Aside from the disappointment of not being in school with their classmates and teachers (which could not be helped), I sincerely felt my children’s education did not suffer during the final 9 weeks of at-home learning. This made me feel more confident than ever that PCA was the best choice for us.
