Whether we wanted to or not during the pandemic we all found ourselves in some sort of a homeschool situation and as time went on so many of us experienced the sting of isolation and lack of community support. Wild Iris private school was founded on this desire to facilitate community in the beautiful, healing, caring community of Bonny Doon. For those of you that live there you know what I am talking about and for those of you that don’t live there you can get adopted (like I did) in through this school or coming to the community park built and created with love to share with all. The school which runs like a co-op currently meets once a week to play at the park and connect with each other. Often there is an activity offered to anyone who would like to participate. Tie dying and giant bubbles are my children’s personal favorites. The people at Wild Iris want to know you and your children and support you with resources, curriculum and ideas to help support families and growing minds.

We love Wild Iris Private School. We attend the Wednesday gatherings regularly. Great kids, great activities, great people. The social and educational opportunity had been valuable to my 6 year old especially coming out of the pandemic. The school a wonderful asset to the Bonny Doon community.
