An exceptional and amazing facility. It’s small size creates a homely comforting environment. I attended for four years and I’ve never enjoyed education as much as I did when attending Lee Academy. The teachers were all phenomenal. There was this true familial connection between everyone there. Lee Academy was my second home and second family and I loved my time spent there. With exceptional education and teaching methods, I excelled there like nowhere else. The staff have this wonderful way of truly allowing the student to reach their potential and push them. It teaches valuable techniques necessary for college and career life that are taught at no public school. Constant activities and fun occur here. The small grades creates a wonderful one on one atmosphere when needed and bonds that will indeed last forever. This school as allowed me to personally grow so much and love myself and my abilities. This school allows every child to be unique and exceptional and I am honored to say I attended Lee Academy for Gifted Education.

The administration does not understand the importance of a whole child approach to education. During my children’s time there, they failed to meet the behavioral, social and emotional needs of children in their care and repeatedly deflected accountability. When presented with screenshots of bullying (including threats of physical harm, and the perpetrator wishing my child would die), they deleted the screenshots, said they were “just words” and blamed the child who reported it, rather than the perpetrator. They also failed to send transcripts for over 6 weeks. My children are flourishing outside of Lee and I wish I had pulled them out sooner.
