My review is directly at the mistreatment and false accusation of child abuse filed by the faculty member of the TBCA Carrollwood campus address: 5395 Ehrlich Rd, Tampa, FL 33625. For two years I’ve never had any issues with TBCA until 02/04/2019 when TBCA Campus director Karen Dyrli called Child Protective Services on me due to I did not report the scratches on my son’s back that which the scratches were small enough to be caused by him and were not big enough to be caused by an adult especially from an adult male. I had to endure the humiliation of explaining to the investigator Malcom Jones and the Deputy accompanying her that I never laid a finger on my son while cars passed through the parking lot of the campus worrying if I was going to be arrested on the spot due to baseless accusations. My wife was in the hospital due to the flu at the time before I was accused and my mother had to help me out taking care of my son. After my wife was discharged from the hospital, we both watched as Karen Dyrli picked up our son by tugging on his arm, and then later that day she called both Hillsborough Sheriff & CPS blaming the bruises on our son’s arm on us after I told her that morning it was a result of our son throwing a temper tandem when we put him in an enclosed crib and he would flail his arms at the rails. We had a nurse and another CPS agent Leslie verify that during the investigation at CPS clinic Mary Lee’s House. Never had my wife and I endured this humiliation or outright been accused of child abuse due to this untrained staff at this campus. The reason I’m giving this place a one star and not none because we spoke with the director of both campus Stephanie Williams who showed compassion to use and we got none from Karen who was belligerent, bias, and ignorant of this accusation and Karen was insistent that she was right about her accusations after my son’s injuries were verified by my mother who is a certified RN at Baycare. I wish I can get $7,200 back which is how much I spend each year on my son’s tuition at that place and Stephanie never got that campus to FedEx us two items we left behind when we terminated our relationship. I have never gave that place a reason to suspect that I was hurting my son. So if anyone wants their husbands randomly accused of harming their child, then by all means enroll your child here at this place License # CHC433108. If not, then stay away from this place since “Christian values” are not recognized there. Karen Dyrli’s behavior is a shameful and disgraceful parade of bias, bearing false witness against one’s neighbor, and abuse of authority. Karen Dyrli reacted to the findings of Gabriel’s alleged injuries with questionable judgement, and therefore is unfit to hold a childcare license and operate in a childcare facility. It is my hope that the following would be done: her childcare license & teaching license revoked, she is fired from TBCA, and banned from caring or teaching any child at any childcare facility or school.
This school is an over priced daycare not a school. If you value your childs education DO NOT put your child here! Amongst the poor teaching quality, is the 100s of health code violations including a roach infested kitchen, dirty bathrooms that on several occasions had no toilet paper or soap. They where so nasty my daughter refused to use the restroom their and would hold it all day or until she could go to the main office restroom that is for staff. I went to this school when it was tampa Baptist Academy and had real teachers but this school has gone down the drain. If i could respond to some of the other reviews i would call out their b.s. and the fact that they are teachers and staff or their family and should be ashamed of how this school is ran especially when quite a few of them know how this school really was years ago. Again if you dont care if you child learns to read go right a head, but if you want your child to get a good education run!
