Out of all the school choices, this school has been the best for 3 straight years to me. I am about to leave Ammons to go to high school but I want to say one thing before I go away to high school. The teachers and students were great especially Mr. Mullin, a great guy. The only problem I had was that they did not tell you of some school rules before you entered 6th grade. One example is that you cannot wait by a classroom during lunch, or else you get a lunch duty (a sort of mini-detention). I got a lunch duty once in 6th because they did not tell us about this rule before we entered, and once in 7th grade (My own fault as I forgot). One more issue is (I really hope I don’t get expelled for saying this) Dr. Sauri and the office staff. Only one person in the office has ever been nice to the kids in all of my years to Ammons, while the others are always in a bit of a sour mood. And Dr. Sauri is always (no offense to him) smiling, even when he gets a kid in trouble he will give a big smile while giving them 1-7 lunch duties. Also, if you mess up the slightest bit (like talking to loud at lunch outside) he will give you a lunch-duty. Overall I give the school a 4/5 and I hope this helps 🙂
This school is very nice overall. Although it’s classrooms are not in buildings? but portables? they maintain a clean and sanitary environment consistently. The teachers are great, especially the history teachers; the material that they teach is very easily understandable. The only exception would be iPrep; if you’re a procrastinator like me, I would not recommend iPrep classes. The type of students vary, but many get good grades and aren’t trouble. There is somewhat of a big amount of troublemakers, but only a small portion of these are very incompetent. Overall, the staff and services in this school are really good. This is a school I recommend, I am enjoying my time in this school greatly.
