Its been years since I attended this school. I attended during my elementary years and now I am a doctor. I still think about the stuff that happened to me in school by the faculty and staff members. Its crazy to think that there are nights where I will wake up because I am so traumatized. I remeber my teacher Ms.Maligros- she used to yell at students an incredible amount and would be on the edge of rage. One time she silenced the whole class and then she thought she heard someone speak and then singled me out because she thought it was me. I was so confused. Just a mere child I was. She slammed her fists clenched on my desk and then grabbed onto the desks sides and slid the desk with so much force that I had to flinch in time so my fingers would not get caught and damaged. I remeber being so confused as to why she had chose me that day to unleash her incredible and ridiculous rage. No teacher should treat a student like that. Here I am today…a doctoral student and still thinking about it. I hope she was fired. She was not the only faculty who treated the students that way, there was a Ms.Jones that was KNOWN by the staff and students themselves to compeletly go off the rails and student guidelines. One time she singled me out in the lunch room as I was eating my lunch alone and told me I was behaving badly. Again, I was confused once again and she took me out and started to yell so loudly at me in front of everyone. She even yelled at my parents in a parking lot before outside of school. This school had some serious faculty/staff issues and I hope by now they fixed it. I hope students/parents now can read my story and are cautious about who they leave their kids with in this school now.
Well 5 people in my grade tried to kill themselves because of the workload and the stress, and the teachers would guilt us for everything we would do. I keep in touch with people that graduated and it has all affected our negative health incredibly badly and I wouldn’t wish this school on anyone. Anxiety attacks got so common that people just started to ignore them. Please please please please PLEASE allow your kids to have a good middle school experience where they can laugh and be happy and relaxed. They deserve it. We all deserved it.
