This school is terrible! My two youngest kids went here for 6 of the most miserable months of their short existence. The school is about 60% Somalian. This would not be a problem but the school basically bends over backwards to any Somalian kid’s needs and screws over the rest. My daughter was consistently bullied on a daily basis by Somalian children, while teachers, paras, bus drivers, and even the most useless excuse of a principal just turned their heads and allowed it to happen. Their policy for handling incidents of bullying is an ineffective joke. Bullying incidents are not reported to proper authorities, as is required by state law. I went to the school to talk to the principal, a Mrs. Goding, about the problems my daughter was having. Mrs. Goding promised action, then proceeded to do absolutely nothing about it for 4 months. The bullying persisted that entire time, until I went to see her again last week. This time, instead of being nice about it, I yelled and screamed and threatened her with picket lines, news coverage, television coverage, and informing the Mayor and school board about her lack of progress concerning bullying in her school. Wouldn’t you know it, she took action right away, and it stopped. Its just sad to me that bullying still goes on there and little to nothing is being done about it. Thankfully we are moving out of town and my kids will never have to be subjected to this place again. I recommend keeping your children a safe distance from this school and either enrolling them out of district or putting them in private school. Unless your kids are Somalian; then they will have it made down there.
Teachers here are awesome the assistant principal (fornier) needs to learn how to handle students better and if the kid is in trouble don’t tell the parent I don’t know how to handle your kid or what to do with him, ease up your demeanor be more respectful and be a mentor to help guid
