We had to remove our child due to an incident that involved a staff member aggressively grabbing a child by one arm and forcibly sitting them on the ground. There was no immediate danger to the child that would have prompted such an action, and it is our belief that this action was not only inappropriate, but also 100% against the schools discipline policy. After our reporting of the incident there was no consequence to the staff member beyond being spoken too and no plan put into place to ensure that it would never happen again. We love the Montessori ideology and really loved this facility, but feel that it is necessary that anyone looking to place their child here knows our experience.
My children started at CMS with no Montessori experience. They were welcomed into the school, each day coming home with new experiences and knowledge to share. The care and compassion the Directresses (teachers) have for the students is outstanding!
