I understand that this is a beauty COLLEGE, meaning these young students are only now getting their hours of experience in; however, I wouldn’t suggest coming here if you have natural hair.

Both times I’ve come, they stretched out my curls to cut them, which is a HUGE no-no being that each curls is different than the next. Both times, they’ve not only ruined my curl pattern, but destroyed my confidence. I am truly disheartened because when I ask if someone here has experience with natural hair, they tell me yes, but they act in the opposite manner and at the end of the day, I pay for that and they do not. I’m also a college student who doesn’t have the free money to go and get my hair cut at an expensive price, so this was all I truly had. I had a mullet that I’ve been growing out for months, and not that progress is gone because I was assigned to someone who didn’t understand me or my hair texture.

To the staff, please do not allow a student take a client with natural hair if they do NOT have the experience and/or are not ready. Be honest with your guest about your experience, please.

I had a quality pedicure and gel manicure here yesterday. It’s walk-in only, and first-come, first-served so be prepared to wait. The student that took care of me was very professional and friendly – but I didn’t get her name! Nametags would be a great idea, btw. Also be prepared for your service to take longer than a salon – remember they are learning! It would be great to have a better front desk procedure – I had to wait to sign in behind two ladies who were taking their sweet time to pay and hogging the counter, so I couldn’t even see how many people were on the list ahead of me.
