The behavior of the faculty is purely disgusting. As someone whos also worked in an academic setting, this school was openly discriminatory toward single mothers. I struggled with mental health issues during my period here, and the only thing the administration did was congregate those struggling into a “destined to fail” club. I was subjected to staying after school frequently in a library for persistently not doing my assignments. I still openly shudder at the words: “You will be staying at HIP”. Instead of doing the logical thing in asking huh, “why is this student struggling to meet any sort of deadline?” this school takes the shaming approach, openly damaging developing students self esteem during such an important period of development. When the faculties shaming inevitably fails, you’re thrown in a destined to fail club. A club tailor made with the ideal of helping you cope with being held back academically. My mom complained to the front office about what I was being subjected to, and the glowing retort was a “oh, you’re one of those” on the topic of being a single mother. You are putting your child in an environment that promotes nothing but negativity toward their mental health by taking them to this middle school.
You are instructed to report behavior you deem worrying. You should help these students succeed. Giving up on them now is one of the most pathetic and spineless actions anyone could take. This faculty should be absolutely ashamed.
“This stead is far from worth a lone star. Mine grandmother hath counselled me against journeying nigh such a dreadful place. Though my grandmother be an elder lady, she is sharper than a needle! Passing by this dunghill of a school has purely shaken me to the core. These children encompassing the grounds are beyond terrible, for words cannot fully convey. I was compelled to seek recovery from my trauma of witnessing such a place. I spent hours of which consisted of retail therapy, yet it would not help. I even went through multiple of my yearly facials in just one week eager to relieve my anxiety from seeing this place. I pray that I, as well as others who traverse this may recover.
