I could give the long story here that was four years in the making, but I will try to keep this short. The staff in the office are wonderful, and nice. The school itself though has many issues. My son was choked at recess not one teacher noticed or did anything about it other students had to help my son because the teachers weren’t paying attention. There was another child in my sons class who had to have a notebook on file with the teacher because he got into trouble so much he physically harmed other children including my son but he got good test scores so he was allowed to come back. Now my son on the other hand had ADHD at the time this hadn’t been diagnosed yet so he did have some issues with talking but never physically harmed anyone and was all and all a good kid, he just learned differently and wasn’t getting the best grades. I was thinking about going a head and putting him in public school I was paying around $4000 a year and my son was still getting bullied and his grades weren’t any better. The day after I told them I was going to put him in public school I went back in to talk about possibly doing some work to get the cost down, I have seen them do this for many people and I figured my son has been going here for four years so maybe they will help me to pay for this. So today I go in there and talk to the pastor and he tells me in front of my 7 year old son that he doesn’t have the room for him because he was a disciplinary problem last year and the teachers and everyone were at the end of their rope. I know he in fact did have room for him because the paper work was sitting right in front of me and my son was still listed as being enrolled. Also saying that in front of my 7 year old son who when we left asked if he was a bad child and started to cry is unacceptable. My son thought these people cared about him and so did I, but it turns out if you don’t make their test scores look better then there is all a sudden no more room for your child at their school. I have one thing to say to Pastor Patrick, you are an extremely judgmental person, who obviously cares more about test scores then the children who do need extra help and guidance to succeed in school, I’ve heard many other people say this and now I’ve seen it for myself. In my opinion this is very unchristian like.
As an former student who attended this school for more than ten years, this school has given me nothing but emotional damage. They teach kids how horrible other people are that are not Christian and to give them no respect! I understand that this is a Christian school, but there are better schools to attend that aren’t this one. Your tuition money does not go to your children, it goes to them. We didn’t have AC for the longest time! They always talked about holding a fundraiser for the playground, but it was never touched since the beginning. If you do not support the fundraisers, you HAVE to pay $50. You pay $50 for computer classes, but the computers there are old fashioned and all they do is type words such as “cat rat pat” it does not teach your child much about computers besides typing. And they go once or twice a week. I was being bullied there in several occasions, and the teachers there did nothing. I was being physically harmed on the playground by someone, and the teachers did not step in or helped me. In middle school they try to teach you morals. One of the morals they teach you from teacher was that, and I quote,”People on welfare need to get off their butts and work.” They also teach the kids to treat a woman below man. One time a boy threw food on the ground and told the nearest girl to “pick it up because you’re the girl.” In high school, they don’t teach you science. They go through homeschool videos instead of having a teacher teach you. This school isn’t a school to put money in, I would definitely not take my child there after what I’ve been through. The teachers there yell at your children for absolutely no reason and teach them to be scared of them; they end up not coming to you because the teachers make them feel like they did something wrong. Most of the people I know take their kid to counseling because this school has emotionally damaged them in many ways. A lot of them have anxiety. It is not worth the money and it definitely is not worth it for your child!
