I’ve had two children attend Boise High and I’m a fan. If your child is an apt student, BHS will help them succeed and find a spot in a good college. The student body is a little hard to pin down; this is not a school where jocks and cheerleader-types rule…individualism reigns. Groups are less discrete with a lot of blurring of the lines. If there are divisions, they’re more academic, with the college-bound kids knowing each other from class, and the same for the less-academic kids. One reason for BHS’s success is the culture in the elementary and junior high schools that feed into it. These kids come to BHS knowing that making good grades is not uncool and what they should be doing to earn them.
Currently a senior and it is second to none. The teachers, the location, the environment, as well as many other things make this school the best.
