I want to clarify that my one-star rating is not a reflection of the student who worked on my hair; they showed dedication and effort throughout the process. However, I had a disappointing experience due to the lack of supervision and guidance from the instructors. Upon arrival, I discussed my desired services: adding a small chunk of blonde, a haircut, and styling. An instructor initially checked off the hairstyle but did not return until an hour and a half later to inspect the blonde application. They were unsatisfied with how close to the root it was, prompting the student to redo the process. Unfortunately, this instructor left without informing the student, leaving us without guidance for an extended period. It wasn’t until about two hours later that another instructor, Angela, appeared. She abruptly asked about the progress and declared there wasn’t enough time for a haircut or styling, without offering assistance. Despite the rush, she returned later to hurry the student through the color application and rinsing process. This haste resulted in bleeding into the blonde and insufficient time for the toner to take effect. Throughout my four-hour visit, I observed the students receiving minimal instruction. To compound matters, upon completion of the service, I was left with half-toned, wet hair, no cut, and received no final inspection from the instructors. It was a disappointing and frustrating experience witnessing the lack of guidance provided to the students and the subpar service I received as a result. There needs to be instructors walking around the floor at all times, actively checking in on the students to ensure proper supervision and guidance.

Unbeknownst to Sarah or the instructor I used to be a stylist and even taught at a cosmetology school for a few years. I was VERY impressed with the facility, the instructor, the student and the outcome. This school is doing things right.

Clean partings, good quality products, angles, layering techniques. They did it all really well.

I love visiting schools, the students need experience and the more people are brave enough to walk through the door the better students will be when they get out into the industry.
