One of the best places in the neighborhood to take your child. Also, perfect for homeschoolers and parents that are pro- normal childhood that want their kids not to be glued to the screen but be connected with nature and have respect for wildlife and for their surroundings.
This place has a lot of interesting programs, workshops, classes and events. Also, it is a public hiking trail so you can just come over and check out this amazing property with meadows, river and brooks and mountains all possible Connecticut landscape options are there.
And it is a heaven for homeschoolers, they have two homeschool days, one for younger kids, one for older.
Summer camp at the Pratt Center has been an amazing experience for my 4 and 7 year olds. Every day when I pick them up they are so excited to share all of the experiences they had during the day. And I feel so good knowing they are experiencing the outdoors and playing games, frogging, hiking, archery- things I remember doing as a kid that so many kids don’t get to experience nowadays. Highly recommend!
