I completely AGREE Principal Carlo Degen has to GO! Degen fail to do her duties she is a horrible communicator no idea what effective communication is! she rather say ” is the first time I have ever heard of this” she has to be a difference maker establishing accountability to her staff and students but instead she has delegated the second grade teacher and the Latino lunch lady to run the school allowing bulling left and right they will lie to your face and blame your kids for being bully, Degen should MANAGE by walking around cause the human factor is extremely important, addressing problems head on not simply Lie and make excuses and tell you what she things you want to hear will encourage the employee kids to continue to bulling the because her Mother is the lunch lady and teaches dance to kids, leadership obviously she has 0 but will force you to talk to the second grade teacher who will lie instead fixing the issue, Professionalism “0” SQUACH, NADA, you get the idea, there are good teachers but leading by example is not in her brain at all, she is not interested in her career she has lost passion if she ever had it for her profession lets simply say she just shows up cause she has to that’s all she does.. and when you try to talk to the priest to get help cause your kids are being abuse verbally and physically your kids will be the ones to blame and will say ” Is the first time I have ever heard of this” ” I was there this morning and didn’t see any of that” that’s what he say to me also he had the nerve to tell me that my kids where bully cause I was a single parent!! can you believed that!!! Robert D. Turner a man of God? he was just place in that position cause Father James N. Jablonowski was removed suddenly because of sexual assault well cover by this priests, he lacks The fruits of the holy spirit and lies to your face because this behavior is ok specially when his superintendent happens to be his friend and do expend lots time together, SO lets get it right Robert D. Turner is was lucky to have this job but he is NO man of God just a man who got place in the wrong position and the Archidioceses will not remove him cause is all favors they do for each other GARBAGE!! principal Degen and your follower are going to hell including the priest Turner but I guess you already knew that!! DO NOT send your kids to this school because if there are bully Nothing will change and your kids will be blame instead of the bully’s.
I should have written this review a long time ago. Thanks to this school, my sister can’t approach a single student or teacher without feeling completely insecure or threatned. The staff at the time were so careless. Esspecially the principal Carol Degen. She rewarded those who bullied her. My sister than had to resort to defending herself, and of course the faculty chased after her like she was the major threat. The bullies recieved no dicipline whatsoever! My sister accounted that at one point at school she was getting bullied. Like any other school student would do, she went to the principal to seek help. She told the principal what was happening and the principal told her everything would be taken care of. Carol sent my sister back up to her classroom and called the troublemakers down. A while later the troublemakers arrived to the classroom with pocketfulls of candy. The group who was bullied her thanked my sister for telling on them and said she should do it more often. This is NOT how you run a school system! They of course continued to bully her from there on after. The staff complained that she was also starting problems. Well of course she was! She was paranoid every time she heard a group of girls or boys laughing. Her only other option was to defend herself because the staff was too boneheaded to do their own jobs! My sister has been diagnosed with PTSD, ADD, anxiety, and mild depression. My sister also got into the habit of doing self harm while she was at this school. This school had her so bad that each time it was time to go to school, she would cry and say she would rather die than go to school. She cried at night and could hardly focus on her school work in school due to fear of the children in classroom throwing things at her or saying harsh things. I would never recommend this school to anyone while it’s under the direction of that awful principal. This school used to be so good. My two cousins were in it and it has since gone downhill. Such a shame a good school turned into this…..
