Our daughter started private swim lessons at SafeSplash during the pandemic. We specifically chose SafeSplash as opposed to other swim schools in the area so that the pool would not be packed with people and were happy with the decision. The pool (at the Hilton hotel) was not crowded at all — at most 2 or 3 students and their instructors at a time — and the staff were vaccinated and masked. Our daughter’s first instructor, Claire, was just what she needed as a beginner: warm, enthusiastic, and encouraging, which helped overcome nerves and get her excited to swim. Unfortunately, there was some teacher turnover thereafter, but overall we were satisfied with the lessons — though they are certainly not cheap. We accomplished our goal of having our daughter learn to swim as a survival skill though — she is now a capable swimmer in both freestyle and backstroke.
Sub-par pool, constantly changing instructors, and ridiculous rescheduling and subscription policies. Our son who has special needs really enjoyed the time in the pool but didnt learn very much because he worked with at least 6 different instructors who didnt communicate with each other. I also had a bad experience with the owners.
