Unfortunately this place is a joke. I trusted these people to give my daughter the education she needed to do what she loves to do. Since they moved to a new location and heard the staff was new and new owners I thought the experience would be great. I was wrong. Little to no instruction with assignments. They had so much down time when they could have been used to practice skills. When she was told to bring someone in to practice on she couldnt even wash hair because they no clean towels for clients and used a dirty one. There was no instructor walking around and only if you wanted to ask a question you had to hunt one down and then was upset to be bothered, otherwise just still around and chatted to co workers and had coffee. I did try to talk to instructor and Manager and I use that term loosely, Jessica and nothing was done to try to resolve the issues. They did take money that from financial aid that wasnt supposed to be taken according to the time of disperments and had and extra payment taken out of my account and still are arguing in that. The place is dirty and old equipment. My daughter has switched to Capri has has been going for 1 month and learned so much more and confidence is OUTSTANDING! I know bad reviews can hurt small businesses but this is one business that should not be there. It can be serious when messing with chemicals on peoples heads and not caring staff and even poorer management that only cares to occupy her seat at her desk and keep it warm .Jessica.. if that is the person still managing please feel free to reach out and discuss this review. I know your typical response would be sorry you feel that way.
It should be more about serving customers as much as it is getting in hours. My concern is that the African American girls can do all types of hair. However, the other ethnic groups are afraid to touch the African American hair. LOOK IT UP AND FIND OUT WHAT KIND OF HAIR WE HAVE
. You are in a school ask your instructor
We are not Barbie dolls. Please make every attempt to understand our grade of hair or put on the door African Americans are not served here. This has been going on for a few years now.
Another thing, you have seniors who come here. They do not have accessibility to the internet. Therefore, list it on the door of your establishment like all the other businesses. Last of all, be intentional about how you serve with pride and care for all.
I have been looking to neighboring beauty schools and they are great in their approach and care.
