I just have to put out there how much we love Career Path High (CPH).
School was always a bit of a struggle for my son, but when he hit 7th grade it just got worse. We struggled through 7th , and 8th grade was a nightmare. I know that teachers are so overwhelmed with the amount of students they have, but it was impossible to work something out with them so that I could help my son stay on track. The biggest problem was trying to find out what assignments he had and if he had turned them in. There were so many times that I thought an assignment had been turned in only to find out that it had not. By the time I could find out that he was behind that for him to catch up was just so overwhelming and unattainable that he would not even try. I felt like there was nothing I could to help him. By 9th grade he just did not care, and half way through the first semester he was almost failing every class.
I am so grateful that he had a friend tell him about CPH, and how much he liked it. I spoke with this friend’s mother and we cried together as she talked about the same struggles with her child that I had been having with mine. The difference she had seen in her child in the few months that he had been going to CPH was amazing.
This is the second year that my son has been attending CPH, and the change in him has been better than we could have ever hoped. He is not only surviving, he is thriving. There is no more yelling to get homework done, get better grades, staying on track. He is doing it all on his own (well with the help of some very amazing teachers).
I truly believe that CPH not only saved his future education, but avoided emotional and mental stress that could have affected him the rest of his life.
THANK YOU, THANK YOU, CPH for what you have done for my son and our family.
Traci.
Career Path High has been on my radar for a few years in case my child needed a “plan B” for his education. It’s turned into the perfect fit for his learning style. He has health challenges that sometimes prevent a traditional school day schedule. The blended learning model takes off the pressure of falling behind and too many absences that became a hindrance in traditional school. The student/teacher ratio is small and he gets considerable access to tutoring and mentoring. He has confidence in his work now and feels in control in his academic performance. He now feels like he has a future in a technical degree he enjoys learning about and even looks forward to graduating and college (something he dreaded before). His attitude towards learning is now positive and no longer avoidant. I’m really grateful for the blended learning model and this school.
