I recently booked By the Sea Ballroom for an upcoming wedding reception. Due to the recent increase in Covid 19 cases in the Myrtle Beach we decided that it will be in our best interest to cancel as we have a son that has a compromised immune system. When I contacted Clara in attempts to retrieve the deposit Clara was very unprofessional in our communication. She basically hung up on me as I explained that per the agreement which was not signed, states “No refund for cancelled events with less than 4 weeks notice unless medical documentation or inclement weather conditions such as a hurricane/flood.” The date was August 20th and I am clearly attempting to cancel prior to 8 weeks. I am very disappointed with the level of professionalism and service. I would never suggest a place like this to anyone. As a whole we are all attempting to live as normal of a life as we can during this Pandemic. I guess some will clearly use it to take advantage.
Clara is awesome. Great teacher and great personality. I have taking dance lessons before as well. I’ve been taking lessons from this studio for about 3 months now. Other teachers are available as well. Tuesdays and Thursdays is a night group class. I am happy MB has By the Sea :). Small studio with a lot to offer if your ready and willing!!!
