The teachers truly cared for the students and put great effort into ensuring the class ran with structure while educating the students with love. The school itself does an excellent job of preparing the students for college/higher education.
My issue came about when I received a call to come to the school to discipline my elementary daughter for an altercation with another student. They gave VERY vauge info on the incident, didn’t allow me talk to my daughters first, but instructed me to beat my daughter with a paddle in a private office with Principal McLaughlin (maybe misspelled), the secretary, and the teacher. This had to be done if I was to comply with the rules. My daughter of course was crying but I cried even more than she did because I was confused and hurt to beat my daughter, with humiliation, and had little info on what exactly happened. Even if my daughter was in the wrong, they disallow my due diligence as a parent for corrective action. To this day I do not know the details of what happened!
This was several years ago, but to this day I get enraged that I felt compelled to follow those rules. Its actually more traumatizing to me than my daughter. After that year, I did not enroll again.
I felt like behind close doors there is no telling what they had parents and children doing over the years. Should have been illegal, and the pastor condone it!!!
Note: My review is true and holds facts. If they respond otherwise, they do not want the public to know what went/goes on in that school.
