They do a fairly good job considering the circumstances. Most of the teachers do care and try to do the best job they can. LAUSD with it’s rules and bureaucracy hurts. Many students are from the nearby Bryant Street Apartment Complex–low income, title 9, no real roots in the community, and many do not speak English.

At the same time those parents who want their kids to excel might want to make other choices. Private or religious school if you can afford it, magnet if not. We live two blocks away and did choose a better school for our children–you owe it to them to give the best education you can–that’s one of primary job of parents.

The problem with this school is the principal, she is the worst principal and her assistant is the worst as well. I have nothing good to say about this school. Needs to have a better academic plan or maybe if the principal stopped behaving like a teenager the teachers would be inspired to be better.
