With 3/4 of GED already done without any help, I needed a class for math. I was able to get a slot for orientation and showed up on time and ready. The instructor is not there to do anything other than take the class through the steps needed for STARTING the GED process, and to make sure that the class knows what they are expected to do. I think it is very condescending and inappropriate to dictate when and how the school will determine the class.
It’s counterproductive to be told that oh my employer will work around your schedule for school, and that there’s no other situation that works for the school. I walked out of that class frustrated. Frustrated because after 10+ years being in high school I decide to get my GED and I have a problem with the last test and I can’t get the class that I need because of the standard operating procedures of the adult education department. I don’t know if this will be resolved.
