Max Richter played live in October, and the UMass Fine Arts Center did a great job of hosting his performance. The auditorium is quite large. The seats are nice. The sound travels well. Overall. The center seems clean. There were refreshments available that were good. The seats are easy to find and access the way the UMass fine arts center was built. I recommend this place for a romantic date night for a good classical concert or dance performance.
The building is beautiful, and they have a lot of fun activities hosted there. I was there for the ballroom team dance lessons provided for free every Monday. The only downside is parking is pretty terrible if you’re a commuter. There are maybe 10 spots out back.
