I didnt even bother going back to complain because I know a student dyed my hair or whatever but why on earth does that mean they can ruin my hair. Why doesnt this place have them practice more on mannequins first or something oh my gosh???? They should be learning and practicing MUCH much more before they are able to work in a salon on real people. This is really not worth it
I went in with my hair completely one color, just brown. I wanted a bit of blonde highlights added, not a lot, and I wanted my hair to remain mostly brown. I made this clear and showed multiple reference photos (below). I left with my entire head bleached, not one strand of brown hair on my head, and it is one of the choppiest hair dye jobs Ive ever seen (pictured below). I have a very noticeable and harsh line going across the right side of my hair right next to my face. Its not blended whatsoever. You can also see stacks and lines of color almost like stairs all over my hair. Im completely embarrassed of my hair & I even cried over it at one point.
On top of that, they said over the phone it would be around $40-$50, and in person, the actual thing cost me $80. They charged extra for each bowl used and they dont tell you that. I had no idea how much it would actually cost until I was already in the salon chair. I have very very fine hair and since I wanted so little highlights I absolutely shouldnt have paid nearly that much and I also definitely shouldnt have this much of my hair dyed. Its now significantly more damaged than it wouldve been if I had actually gotten what I wanted.
I didnt get what I asked for, I paid more than I was originally told I had to and way more than I shouldve, and I look stupid. I was charged $80 to look stupid.
Im so sad about my hair and now I have to pay even more to go get it fixed professionally.
But I decided to give it one more try and I’m glad that I did. My stylist name was Claire and she was EXCELLENT!! She was very sweet and polite. I had told her about my previous experience and she guaranteed me that, this time would be different, and it was! She explained everything that she was doing as she did it and we had a pleasant conversation. Shampooed with out giving me a shower down my whole backside!
Afterwards blowdried and styled . Color was spot on ??. Overall wonderful experience and I will absolutely be returning to Paul Mitchell and I will be requesting to have my hair done by Claire if that is ok with you staff. Thank you so much for your wonderful job Claire!! You have a wonderful career ahead of you ??
