I enrolled my 2 daughters in December of 2015, I looked past the outdated building and supplies, even looked past the sub part English speaking ability of some of the staff. I was taken in by Miss Ivys charm. The staff themselves are sweet and nice, a new head teacher literally doesn’t speak a word of English. I was willing to work with it all, even the constant request for donations and office supplies. I started noticing my sweet girls, become mean and rude. I figured it was and age thing. Then my oldest, who just turned 3, started crying she didn’t want to go to school, to please not leave her, that they were mean to her. in my stupidity, I again thought maybe she was rebelling in a sense. I brought up my concerns with Ivy, she said all the right things and made it all better. Friday May 13th, 2016, I pulled my children from their care when I walked in at 12, something told me to pop in, so I did. I was at the toddler room grabbing my youngest, when I hear Ivy, the center director, yelling. I mean yelling loud enough for me to hear her through a closed door, down a hallway around the corner and in a different room! I come around the corner and she’s still yelling, she then opens the door, throws a doll down the hall, all the wile yelling “go to sleep, just go to bed, it’s nap time, you need to listen ” . After she shuts the door, I can hear the little girl crying. I walk to the door which happens to be my oldests room and open it to see a little girl, laying in her cot covered up balling. Ivy doesn’t even notice me as she continues to harass the child, the words are worse. She even threatened to thrown the girls baby doll in to the dumpster if she doesn’t go to sleep. I confronted Ivy about the situation, and all she could do was offer excuses and blame the child. Don’t fall into her trap, she’s nice to you, but horrible your kids. I even called the owner, who owns MSO 1 as well, all she said was that she would look into it, but she would not notify other parents of what happened. DO NOT EVEN CONSIDER THIS PLACE
My daughter recently started going to this establishment for care. I can’t speak for most of the other rooms, but I can for the infant room. They accept NACCRRA and they work with us on payments. She is in the infant room and she has been developing amazingly. I don’t mind that the center is outdated some and not the best in looks, their care for my child has been impeccable. She is always happy when I pick her up and they are more than willing to give us updates when we call. The infant room teachers are always personable and you can tell they enjoy working with the children. It is smaller, and your child will have more one on one time with the teachers! She isn’t always being put in a rocker and left, they let her get plenty of tummy time in and at almost 4 months, she is already trying to crawl. They also do not wear shoes in the infant room since the children crawl there, they wear slippers they specifically wear in the infant room.
