The Newton School is a very special place. As a child psychologist, I have been recommending Newton to parents since its inception. The Newton School is the private school that has always been missing, and that many parents have always wanted, in Northern Virginia — and it is finally now here. Ms. Allison Abraham, the school’s founder and director, has worked very hard to develop an outstanding curriculum and school for students who present with various strengths and weaknesses. The school’s whole child approach to learning, which focuses on the student’s academic, social, emotional and physical growth and wellbeing is the key to its success. The space is also amazing, and I am a huge fan of their ginormous foam pit and ball pit for sensory time. Beyond the excellent curriculum and space, what makes this place great is its leadership. Ms. Abraham and her team truly care about their students and school, and parents appreciate their devotion and personal care to making Newton the very special place that it is. Keep up the great work, Allison! I give the Newton School my highest endorsement.

Our experience at the Newton School has been phenomenal!! I waited a few months to write a review since we are new to the school this year and I didn’t want anyone to think that I was just loving our experience since it was the first few days of school. I have to say that we are as happy today as we were the first day. Actually, we are happier. Our son is truly loving the experience of middle school. He was feeling a little underwhelmed the past few years with regard to academics so when he started school at Newton and they got him to where he needed to be academically he was thrilled. He is no longer bored and is so happy to be challenged!! He is so happy to have homework at school because he wasn’t getting much of anything at his old school. He loves all of the movement and the trips are so much fun for the kids. As a parent I am so pleased to see my son working at his full potential and enjoying school 100%!! The administration and teachers at the school are wonderful and they are brilliant educators. They “get” the kids and really know how to educate them and get them interested in what they are being taught. I am so glad we made the move to the Newton School.
