Sad to say but unfortunately children are not allowed to be children at this facility. A 6 year old is expected to have the behavior of a 14 year old. If your child is joyful and open hearted and takes everyone he meets as a best friend, probably not a good fit for you. Also when admitted and tested there is no mercy and academic success does not matter if your child does not fearfully listen to a complete stranger and obey to a T. Please tell your child before you are tested they need to keep any questions they have to themselves and not share anything with a tester otherwise they will be considered not a good fit.
We have been lunch buddies and have served in different capacities with this amazing school for over 10 years. It is the best kept secret in Charlotte. If you want to get to know some incredible students who will melt your heart, and change your life, get involved! The admin is great and the curriculum is tracked and proven – ask for the data when you visit. Too bad Brookstone wasn’t uptown when my kids were in lower and middle school!
