Dear Don Callejon Community-

This letter is regarding the current status of our parent organization known as the Don Callejon School and Community Organization (DCSCO), and its affiliation with Don Callejon School. Currently, the organization is experiencing some leadership challenges, and as of Wednesday morning, all current members of the DCSCO Board of Directors have resigned.

When the challenges of a school affiliated organization begin to have negative impact on the school, it is the school and district administration’s responsibility to limit involvement or disband their relationship with the organization. As a result, all planned DCSCO sponsored events and activities have been put on hold. Current and future DCSCO affiliated communications are not reflective of the opinions or attitudes of the school or district.

Don Callejon School and the Santa Clara Unified School District welcome and appreciate all the support we receive from this community and the parents of children who attend our schools. Therefore, our continued goal is to foster a parent group that is able to effectively harness and coordinate these beneficial volunteers and financial contributions for the betterment of the Don Callejon students. We will be working towards this goal in the coming months.

In the meantime, please do not direct any questions regarding DCSCO or other parent organizations to the school. Updates will be communicated via our school newsletter and/or our website.

Thank you for your continued support.

Principal

Worst possible .. was going up .. but will go down now. It was due to students from mansion grove etc who were raising the school ratings, now with the useless decision of scusd and bad planning of rivermark .. its a downhill school. it was a good run, but unfortunately now you will see other schools around the area have better ratings, this is a new school and ratings were mostly because of asian and indian students .. now with most of them gone .. this is going to be a sad development .. santa clara planning for rivermark has been the worst, though they think they did great, its all the useless accomodations like mission gardens , which have spoiled the community. When some rental communities have been removed .. why is archstone still there. To me a school is as good as the students.
