I went to this school for 4 years. From my experience everyone acted the same, dressed the same, and ect. Who your family is determines how you are treated, I observed. Additionally when I went there, classes were mainly cp. There were very few honors classes offered in 9th and 10th grade… I was removed from the honor math program because essentially I was told I was not good enough. I decided to transfer in 11th grade to Sumter high school. This is the best decision I have ever made. The funny thing is when I went to Sumter high, I was placed into 2 honors math classes and an AP math class. My AP math class had a 97% pass rate on the AP exam. I felt more welcomed and additionally I was able to take all honors, ap, and dual enrollment. Sumter high allowed my to start college with 22 credit hours all for free. This transfer allowed me to get accepted to both Clemson and Carolina (full acceptance, NOT BRIDGE). Additionally I was able to graduate in 3 years as Sumter high gave me the opportunity to start so far ahead in college.

~15 of the ~60 students who were at Wilson hall in 8th grade of my class had transferred to Sumter high by their senior year. Save your money and send your kids to the public schools Sumter school district offers where they will be welcomed with open arms and will excel in academics.

Wilson hall also brags about “100% 4-year college acceptance rate”… However the amount that actually graduate from college within 4 years is no where near that speaking from observations.

I graduated in 2003. It is a great school with great administration, faculty and staff, as well as excellent curriculum and sports programs. It has an excellent reputation and strong relationships with colleges as well. As a school, it is always improving, building, adding new facilities. You just can’t beat Wilson Hall.
