As a family we had been trying to find a place to get haircuts and came across Phipps. Nice place. Friendly people. Nice cuts. The only problem I have is the pricing. It’s a Barber School so the prices are good, but why are the prices always different? We try to go get enough cash to cover the cost of the cut(s) as well as a nice tip. But one week a haircut is $8 or $9, the very next week the same exact haircut is $12 or $13. That gets confusing.
As others have said, friendly folk and a nice hair cut, too! I will return.

I believe they much prefer cash, which is reasonable as card reader services are an added expense, AND card companies may take as much as 5% of the total charge, AND their price is so low to begin with.

Remember: The low price allows for a higher tip. 😉
