This place is fantastic!!! I literally can’t say enough good things about the faculty, staff, and the school in general. Our daughter has been attending MAB since 2018 at 16 months old, and we knew it was the school for her and for us after spending just five minutes on the tour with Bart Theriot. Our daughter, who at the time was usually shy in new places, immediately dove right in. It was like watching a fish go into water.

Since then, we have adored all her teachers as she’s matured. They have partnered with us throughout in helping our daughter develop herself, giving us different methods and guidance for how to allow our daughter to be her best during these early years, which can be quite trying to say the least! As a parent, it’s been very comforting to have MAB as a support system for our daughter’s growth and our family’s well-being.

As for COVID, they have done a phenomenal job in unbelievably difficult circumstances. They only closed for the Spring of 2020 and re-opened that Summer with safety precautions in place to ensure the health of the students and faculty. While we were hesitant at first to have our daughter back in a group environment, we could already see the negative impact not having school was having on her. So, we sent her that Summer and are so happy we did! As the pandemic has evolved so has MAB, updating their policies and procedures as necessary following the VDH’s health guidance, while making thoughtful, informed decisions about what makes sense for the school, its students, and families. There have been very few COVID cases, thank goodness!, even through this massive Omicron waive.

Our daughter has met some wonderful classmates too that have become good friends. We’re looking forward to many more great times and experiences with MAB!

Three of our children are elementary students at MAB. All children started in the toddler room then in primary and now in elementary. This unique environment has enabled my children to grow in a way that no other environment would allow. They are encouraged to think for themselves and ask questions when they do not know. My children have a respect for others and recognize the opportunity they have to learn from others. They are able to understand the importance of responsibility for self. I am so grateful for the foundation this school has provided my children since now, I am confident in what they can accomplish and how much they will enjoy their education. MAB has an outstanding staff – compares to no other school I have worked with. It is obvious – they all love to see students learn. Every child is unique and only in this environment are you able to cater to the unique needs of every child. My children love to be challenged academically and I appreciate that this environment enables them.
