6 month update,
Computers STILL do not work. Theres anywhere from 20-30 in the library that cant be logged onto and its been that way for the past couple years now so who knows when theyll ever be fixed. Those that dont work also arent labeled. Do you know how annoying it is to sit at 6 different computers trying to log onto them just to find out after that they dont work? All of the broken computers are set up to LOOK like theyre fine until you sit down, enter the password, and then its onto the next computer!
I graduated in spring 2018 with an A.S. in CNC Machining. I am not working in the industry or related field for numerous reasons.
The one star in this review reflects professors that taught well.
However, the lack of stars in this review reflect a severely below college experience. Specifically, the small school size, lack of opportunities, lack of student commitment, and lack of interest in general contributed. Moreover, scheduling was a major problem between core and gen-ed classes. Furthermore, existing social circles did not allow for new people to immerse themselves in. (Quite disappointing considering how open, diverse, and progressive they were when I was there).
Bottom line: If you don’t mind the lengthy class times (up to 3 hours), scheduling challenges, and not having social opportunities, this is an okay school. Otherwise go to normal community college, earn your credits there, then transfer to a better university. Or start directly in a university rather than Goodwin.
