I don’t even know where to begin on warning prospective students about this school. I just graduated from the esthetics program and I HIGHLY recommend you consider going elsewhere.

1. There is one esthetics instructor split between two classes at a time. She does her best, but this results in classes spending half of their program (2.5 months) sitting in a classroom alone with no classes. We were told it was “self guided study”, but we were all finished with our workbook less than 3 weeks into the “independent study” and then we just sat there on our phones all day.

2. The owner does everything he can to cut costs. Despite months of asking, we shared one stool throughout the whole spa for all of the esthetics students while doing services. Many of the spa beds are a disgusting yellow and the wax pots don’t even work properly resulting in a lot of pain for our model during her Brazilian wax.

3. We did not even have a classroom. We were told we had to move to the sunroom from our classroom to make room for the newer esthetics class. There were eight of us crammed onto two small skinny tables.

4. You are shown how to do something (like facials) one time and one way. You will not learn any additional technique. If you want to practice anything else it will be self taught.

5. We loved our esthetics instructor, but the fact is that they don’t have an actual esthetician teaching you. Our instructor was a cosmetologist who did hair and basically just read the textbook to us and helped us memorize some things.

6. They delete bad reviews so that their ratings look better than they are. There have been some very negative reviews on Facebook but they’re all gone now.

Overall, I paid $11k to read a $100 textbook on my own. I highly recommend considering FVTC’s program which has much more structure for 1/3 of the price. Do not waste your money here.

ABP has no business running an esthetics program. They are understaffed and ripping students off. Also, if the owner comments and says they have no record of me attending this school (like he has with so many other reviews) I will post a picture of my certificate.

This is one of the worst experiences that I’ve had at a beauty school. I had requested a root touch up. The student was sniffling over me the whole time -without a mask. She began to section my hair in a way that I’d never experienced before. So, it was odd. After returning home, I noticed spots that were totally missed -still gray spots. I called to request the services be re-done. Also, requested a different student provide the services. I was told that they’d have to call corporate to get it ok’d and they would get back to me. I received a message from “someone” who didn’t leave their name. So I returned the phone call and talked with Julie. She had no idea of why I was calling. So, I explained to her again what the issues were. She said she’d have to get back to me. She never called back. I ended up leaving 2 more voicemail messages to no avail. I just called again, and asked to speak to an instructor/manager. She knew exactly why I was calling. And told me that corporate would not approve getting my services re-done with a different student. So, I asked if I could make the appointment with the original student, and she told me no. The student didn’t feel comfortable re-doing my hair. The communication at this school is subpar. You get a lot of answering machine messages, followed with NOT calling back the customer. Will never go back, nor recommend them as a school, nor having services done. Their prices are high too.
