One week before 2nd grade started, we were informed that our son would have a new teacher. When we paid our tuition, we were assured our son would have the same teacher. We voiced our concerns and now feel we have allowed enough time to gauge our child’s performance. We have met with management several times on this subject as we felt our sons educational and emotional needs were not being adequately met. There have been no changes in managerial or teaching approach as a result of these meetings.
Furthermore, we started to notice his behavior and attitude began to change over the current school year. Upon further investigation, we found this was due to persistent verbal abuse from his peers, which was met with further disciplinary action from his teachers due to his involvement in these situations. Unwillingness of the management and teachers to appropriately address these situations has ultimately culminated in an unhealthy atmosphere for our son. We had high hopes for that NTLA would be able to give our son the unique project based learning atmosphere he needs to thrive, but the atmosphere and managerial oversight has made our experience fall very short.
