Please do not place your child in this school. My child went there only through kindergarten and only because her teacher was awesome. I pulled her out mid school year in 1st grade. Not only is the school down the street from a strip club, it is right next to a dog shelter of some sort and there would be dogs roaming the parking lot and in front of the school. That was not even the reason why I took her out. The school and the principal is ghetto. The way they talk to kids and the parents was horrible. I could go on all day about several events that happened with the the teacher , principal and even the students along with the aftercare but I don’t have enough space. Just don’t send your child here.
I went to Charles Drew from kindergarten to 5th grade, BEST SCHOOL EVER! My teachers were Ms. Fleming, Ms. Byrd, Ms. Byrd again because she moved up to 2nd, Ms. Hughs, Ms. Lazzarino, and ms. Stramanak. I loved all of them all, but my favorite was Ms. Byrd??Ms. Flowers and Ms. Heart were so nice (the principle & assistant principal). Now I’m in 8th grade at Crystal Lake Middle??. But if you live I’m Pompano, I highly recommend they you send your children to Charles Drew!????
