As a former teacher, I wanted to make sure my son had the best first experience when starting a daycare/school program. After touring 4 schools, we chose BBI and couldnt be happier with our choice. My son has been attending for a year now and he has grown not just physically in that time, but more importantly emotionally and mentally. He is now speaking in both English and Spanish (forcing me to brush up on my grade school Spanish). He plays and explores outside on their beautiful play area and doesnt want to come home at the end of the day. When I pick him up from school he is dirty, exhausted, and happy. The front office and teachers communicate to me if there is an issue and they have a new app coming out which will show even more of their day to day work. I couldnt ask for more from a school. My son is challenged, loved, and well cared for while at school. They really nurture the entire child and encourage them to be curious and explore. They also help them regulate their big feelings by doing yoga and meditation. It is a really special place.
My child can speak very well for himself, and he loves it here. He always looks forward to going. He runs to his classmates and teachers when he arrives in the morning. This is our second child to attend here, and both have highly enjoyed it. The Montessori program has given them a great base for their future education. It encourages them to think creatively. The school is small: so, the kids get very personal attention. Administration is well involved and attentive. Yes, Julia is a no-nonsense manager, which might rub some people the wrong way; but she deeply cares about the kids. Personally, I take exception to the reviewers who have vented their personality conflicts in a way that mischaracteizes her. She cares about the kids more than anything else. With people who are polite and responsible, she is always very respectful, responsive, and friendly. The only additional thing that would be nice is to have more events involving parents so parents coud get to know their kids’ classmates’ parents. In everything else, we are extremely satisfied.
