right i was on my way to school not only did i see a girl with spider lashes pretending to be a bird but i also saw 2 lads chumming up to each other whilst there mates were egging them on. i also got chased into the bus by a possum
My child was threatened to be stabbed on social media with pictures recorded on school grounds. Had to involve police, at which point school refused to even discuss it.(if police involved we can’t get further involved) The child involved still at the school walking around freely.daughter threatened on a almost daily basis gone from a happy child to one who tried to self harm. Please don’t send your child here. Now been threatened with legal actions if I leave this review as it may harm their reputation. Says it all !
I personally went to this school and it has absolutely no support when it comes to a child’s wellbeing. I have been bullied at this school numerous times and even when you report the incident to a member of staff, the school will not do anything about it. All they care about is a child’s grades to uphold a smart reputation amongst other schools. They like to class themselves as the “Best School in Barnsley” even though this cannot be further from the truth. They do not offer any serious consequences towards students that have bullied someone even if they do something as bad as cutting part of their hair off. I know that it may be difficult for a school to punish a child severely but in many cases it is well deserved. Do not send your children to this school if you want them to stay happy.
Please think long and hard about sending your kids here for education. Although they do get good grades (mainly because that’s all the school care about) the bullying is absolutely ridiculous! My daughter has short hair and has numerous times been called a boy. The school take it on board then do absolutely nothing to combat this bullying. The next thing that happens about this situation there will be an article in the local newspaper to raise awareness of this schools lack of professionalism when it comes to bullying.
Called due to grandson needed the loo and also picking granddaughter up from dance lesson. Group of girls very polite when directing us plus teachers in entrance also very polite and helpful. My granddaughter loves the school and has come on tremendously with her studies.
