Great all through school, really nice and high quality teachers, has improved markedly since I went there in its previous guise as Albany Secondary School. Can get a bit manic in the mornings, but that’s the same for all schools. Walking is best way to get there, 279/191/121 buses stop nearby. If taking car, I usually park in Albany pool car park to drop son off, that way the school main entrance isn’t blocked with parents’ cars and it’s only a few minutes walk away, so no great hardship. Accessible entrance.
It’s amazing all through school. The staff will do anything for all the children to meet their needs. Overall, it’s a divine, exquisite experience. I highly recommend taking your child/children to Ark John Keats Academy.
Good school with high quality education oriented school. Not like any state school at all. Most teachers can cater children with medium to high expectations in education. They lack on SEN or children who have behaviour problems. The problem nowadays, there are too many parents that have very low expectations on their kids entered the school. So this give the teachers hard time. That’s why you can see few negative feedbacks on Google review. If you want your kids to excel in education, then send them to this school. But if you expecting normal state school standard, don’t waste your time and the teachers.
My son previously went to this school, i must say there has been few teachers there who is actually intrested in pupil but the rest are just there to get rid of children whos grades are low.
I have witnessed alot of pupil who has done worse things than my son at the school and has not been treated the same way as they have treated my son, they do not treat every pupil fairly as some have higher grades but worse behaviour problems.
I have now decided to do homeschooling with my son as he has been so depressed because of this school theres been times where he got excluded because he looked through the window but teachers were making it look worse by saying other things. Because he has not been on their good books.
Since we have been doing home schooling, my sons attitude towards education and other things have completely changed.
And now his ready for a fresh start to a school which he will be treated fairly.
I do hope that no one else at this school goes through what we had to because it depresses the children as well as the parents.
Overall the school is making themselves look great with those silly dicipline rules they have which i think its ridicolus as they are not letting children live their childhood and education in a fun way.
Yes i understand children needs rules and dicipline but not to this extend as it depresses lots of children.
I have witnessed a few children in tears after school because they got catch up for silly things like dropping their pens.
Good luck your teen needs to be an angel to be able to get on with all teachers there.
My two youngest sons attend the primary school. I would never have thought that my youngest son whom had problems when he was born, would be anywhere near he is with his education than he is today.
And it is all down to the staff at Ark John Keats Academy, who have helped us get him were he is today. (Thank you)
And also for our older son who has been to a couple of schools, he is progressing so well within his education. Yes they are strength and striked, but they do things how they should be done.
With Our boys, They both have made us so very proud.
I would recommend this school to anyone.
