A party of children from AKS Lytham attended Blackpool Grand Theatre last night 17/10/23 for the opening night of The Elephant Man. Some pupils had their feet over the back of the seats in front.The floor of the front row in the upper circle was left strewn with litter.. cans popcorn sweet wrappers. It was an absolute disgrace. I regret not taking a photo of the mess that they were happy to walk away from. My friend and I spoke to the last four girls to leave the row and express our disgust that it should be left that way and asked who was the member of staff. The youngster replied that it was the boys who were “messing,” please don’t say anything as the teacher was already angry with them. The girl and three friends tidied much of the rubbish.
If you are a parent of a boy who attended last night you may wish to talk to your child about general littering and expected behaviour in public. The school should be ashamed of the standards that they consider acceptable.
