We are very happy with Boys and Girls Nursery Watford, where our daughter attends. The staff is incredibly friendly and caring, always making sure each child feels welcomed and supported. Our daughter is always happy to go to the nursery, which speaks volumes about the positive environment they have created.

It’s a comforting feeling to know that our child is in such good hands. Additionally, all our questions are promptly answered, and we receive regular updates, including pictures through the application, detailing the activities they engage in. It’s truly heartwarming to see our child so happy and eager to attend nursery. She’s picked up many positive traits and behaviors from them, evident in her singing and overall development.

Our experience at this nursery has been exceptional. Our daughter began attending at 9 months and has thrived in every way. She exudes happiness, has developed wonderfully, and often enjoys her hearty two portions of delicious lunch. The attentive staff creates a supportive atmosphere, and the friendships formed, especially with her best friend, make it an even more enriching environment. I regret to say that my time working at Boys and Girls Nursery in Watford was an overwhelmingly negative experience. From the outset, it became clear that the management’s priorities did not align with creating a healthy and supportive work environment, rather favouritism between employees and poor communication

The lack of adequate training was a significant issue. New hires were thrown into the deep end without proper onboarding, which not only hindered new employees ability to carry out their roles. This negligence on the part of the management is inexcusable and reflects a disregard for both employees and the children they are entrusted with. Room leaders were also reluctant to support new employees

Moreover, the work-life balance at Boys and Girls Nursery was non existent. I was a part time employee however other colleagues would complain about this often during breaks. The demands placed on staff were excessive, with little consideration for personal time or well-being. The pressure to meet unrealistic expectations led to burnout, affecting both job satisfaction and overall mental health.

Additionally, the remuneration did not reflect the level of responsibility and dedication required in the childcare profession. The salaries were not competitive, and the lack of performance-based incentives further discouraged employees from investing their best efforts.

Complaints were not handled effectively (if at all), the manager would not take them seriously and would not communicate to the complain tee how their complaint was handled. Nothing changed

In conclusion, my employment at Boys and Girls Nursery, Watford, was a disheartening experience characterized by poor communication, inadequate training and insufficient compensation. I strongly advise potential employees to thoroughly consider these aspects before committing to a position at this nursery.

Our son attended here for 3 years. The team are amazing and offer support, care and my son learnt so much. I now have my daughter attending and she loves it just as much as my son did. The nursery are always doing extra bits for the kids and have different events like little farm animals visiting or little parties. Every week they have a sing along session with an external lady where they learn through play, puppets, sensory etc. Highly recommend.
