During the covid period, in order for the year sevens to eat in the dinner hall at lunch it had to be wiped down and disinfected, but even when it was poring it down the rain the school could not be bothered to clean the dinner hall and put us in there so we was all stuck out side for break and lunch in the cold rain. We could not sit down because the benches were dripping wet and there were puddles all over the floor. I was not bothered that we was outside in the rain but the fact that there wasn’t even a teacher out there to watch us because they were too cold and they stayed in side leaving all the year 7s only 2 gates away from a main road were we could easily escape.
Mr french bullied my best friend. The school cant get the students under control, some of the courses dont have any sport given and my entire Imedia class was threatened to fail if we kept talking. You also get shouted at and all the teacher turned on you if 1 person doesnt like you and is a “good boy”. Then you also get accused of throwing things at people and when they get asked to show the CCTV they say “no we cant show you”. Then if your phone gets taken off you and you ask to see the policy and they will say we cant find it
I have never in my life seen such a inadequate and incompetent school my daughter goes here and the teachers are obnoxious and shout at all the students and dont listen to what student are saying and as for the uniform they are to strict with it my daughter has eczema and had done her knee in and had a massive bandage on it and couldnt get her school trouse over them so wanted to wear a skirt and they said if she came in with one on they would punish her and put her in unit yet they told me when i first told them ov her leg they said they were accommodating to her needs but there all just a bunch of liars i would never send my child there if i was you. She was also being bullied here as well and she was ignoring them as we told her to but they were persistent and she ended up stapping at them to which she and her friend got put in unit and the boys had nothing done to them. The staff dont communicate with each other and when you ring to speak to a cwrtain teacher and you soumd cross there alway in a meeting and they will get back to you but never do x
My son is joining the academy in sept. And he had the best 2 days induction,he said he loves his new school and can’t wait to go up. I also as a parent met a few teachers very friendly and approachable thank for 2 lovely days for my son cxx
Just read about the terrible stance this school is taking to residents on Halston Place. Build a new access off Taylor’s Avenue rather than causing chaos on a quiet residential street.
