Ark Academy Secondary school is a great place to send your children. The large playing fields are perfect for letting the kids run around and play, and the classrooms are nice and spacious. The staff are friendly and welcoming, and they truly care about the students. I highly recommend sending your children to Ark Academy Secondary school.
” not a religion school ” in 2022 a uk discriminates a student for wanting pray????? What type of education are you teaching your students??? That is disgusting. Parents if you’d like your kid to grow up to be an intelligent and respectful human being find a new school.
I have attended the school for 7 years and I am glad to say I’m in final year and I am finally leaving

The school has derailed in current years. There used to be a very strong bond between teachers and students that kept us working hard and helped us fulfil our potential as students and as citizens but now there is a major disconnect with new teachers running the school.

The school focuses more on dealing with behaviour via punishment now. for example if you hang around in groups of more than 6 people you are told to disperse or receive a detention or if you have missing uniform you are not allowed to learn for that day. I heard there’s a new rule that you are not allowed to run in the playground also.

You’re child will be mistreated and undermined at this school. Don’t expect it not to happen.

If you care about your child’s grades more than their well-being then this school is perfect for your child, just make sure your child is strong mentally as this school’s system will take a toll on them overtime.

The headteacher is a nice woman and very fair and some other few good teachers are left, but they will soon be leaving.

I hope your child doesn’t have the same experience I had because it was not good.

The nurse is the worst. I am a student at this school and I have friends which have hurt themselves and have felt sick during school hours who, when told to go to the nurse by me or another one of my friends, refuses to go to the nurse as she is careless and even sometimes annoying. Additionally, a student could go to the nurse saying that they’ve been vomiting all day or that they feel sick and the nurse would only send them home if they had some kind of raised temperature. Worst of all I think that this is what the school wants the nurse to do, simply so that students stay in school and learn more.

Also, as a student at this school, I have raised anxiety and stress levels constantly because of the pressure put on me and other students at this school. I have even told teachers about this and I only got a specialist to talk to me once about this and I never got anymore help. I even talked to a normal teacher about my anxiety and I was suprised to find that that teacher helped me a lot more with my anxiety than the specialist they had. And I just find this extremely careless, as the school just doesn’t care at all about students wellbeing.
The toilets are always dirty too and if it’s raining during a PE lesson they make students stay outside in the cold.
Overall this school made me wish that it just never came to exist.

We use this site regularly in the evening to play football. The staff on site make it incredibly difficult for us to use the site facilities and retrieve footballs when they go over the low fences. The site is run like a prison – enabled by the Schools Plus staff. The staff are rude, argumentative and aggressive. There is an attached car park which we cant use, as the staff wont open the gates that connect the pitch to the car park. Awful service!
