Moved our two children to this school in the November after the 2nd lockdown. Even after the first day there was a huge change in them, they came out of school with smiles on their faces talking about how the teachers were nice and friendly and no children were bullying them. A few months on and having to do home learning atm and the kids are still happy. The school offer fantastic support to the children and parents and I have 2 kids that are genuinely missing being in the class room. Wish we have had used this school from the start. Every single staff member is friendly and helpful and honestly interested and invested in the children’s education and happiness.
A good school that is trying to improve on their results and image- I went here as did my father and uncles, and my daughters attend the school since moving back to the area. My girls enjoy their time at Baird as do their many friends. No the most welcoming looking school now with the 10′ fences everywhere but that is more a reflection on changing times and mentality of some of the parents rather than the school. It’s a lot more welcoming once inside and the wide corridors are now utilised for lessons rather than being used to accommodate children who are disruptive in lessons as they were when I was there.
It’s had a bad offstead report but they are trying very hard to turn it around with lots of improvements I’m very pleased with the school and will continue sending my children there. The staff are friendly and very helpful. There’s lots of outdoor and indoor space for children to learn and play. They have plenty if after school clubs available and run friendly courses for parents too.
1 week in and best decision I’ve made sending my daughter here. Lovely school, lovely staff and never seen my daughter so happy. Highly recommended x
