After leaving Chilwell School, I attended the Sixth Form College. My rating is an overall OK for both settings. I’ve enjoyed my time at the college training to become a Child Care practitioner and I’ve had a few good times in the school, especially with my partner-to-be. I’d recommend that all parents of children in Year 6 in primary schools in the area consider Chilwell School for your child to attend to.

However, recently the school standards has been slipping.

My children have had a very positive experience at this school. Communication is good with staff going out of their way to to provide excellent opportunities for children torch their potential both school and out school. I would recommend this school to parents and children in the area.
The teachers are a bunch of liars here and will accuse certain pupils of doing a lot of things that they haven’t always been to blame for and a lot won’t even face you to sort out your issues so they are very rude?

Furthermore, when you do acually get to speak to someone which is usually the headmaster, not every issue is resolved entirely or it re-occurs in different ways? This in turn has a massive impact on your child’s ability to learn?

They dish out a lot of allegations regarding the child that isn’t always a valid reason and often dishing out detensions like “smarties for things as I say, the child hasn’t even done?

Do not bring your child to this school unless you can face the challange?

A terrible school, poor facilities and managment. an overall failure of a school. Some of the theachers did try and some were very friendly, but overall i still do not recommend.
