the school is terrible, they dont let the children express themselves – like how is the colour of my hair gonna affect my learning or other peoples learning? same goes for piercings and haircuts, it’s not going to affect anyone and if it is then that person needs to be less judgmental.

the school doesn’t abide to people being bullied, instead they try to remove the students that are being bullied rather than the ones who are bullying. leaving all the bullies in the school which gets more people bullied.

the teachers pick favourites, from my experience one of the music teachers – i won’t name names – is only nice to the people who do music outside of lessons such as going to choir, take part in the plays or do any instrument lessons. which also means that any student that is generally good but doesn’t attend any extra music curriculars is treated the same as the people who choose to misbehave.

a lot of the teachers are also extremely rude for no reason, as if they don’t like children at all – why become a teacher if you dislike teaching? and some also act a bit weird to the students, a bit predatory if you ask me.

the school claims to care all about mental health, but when a student misses school due to their mental health they seem to disregard it. all they care about is attendance. and if you’re a bad student with bad mental health they don’t abide to your needs at all because you don’t behave in class. i was told by a teacher that i should’ve have medication for my mental health because i was too young and other students deserve it more than i did. an adult should not say that to a child.

this school is horrible, don’t send you child here if you’d like to keep their mental health intact.

The school tries to stop kids being individuals and wants them all to be the same. The uniform rules are an absolute joke. I don’t know how a kid has their hair cut, has piercings etc has to do with how well they learn or their behaviour maybe let them be individuals and they would respect the school more.

They don’t seem to offer any help or care about kids mental well being no matter how hard the situation just bothered about their attendance record.

The teachers do favour certain pupils and if your child is friends with certain other children they all get tarred with the same brush just for being friends.

i used to come swimming here every Thursday night and the instructors were very kind and helpful. it is because of them i can now swim in the sea or in deep water without drowning

I was a student for 7 years (Years 7-13), watched several headteachers come and go, and it wasn’t the best experience over this time. There were good and bad teachers, I admit there were some amazing ones, and I thank them so much, but many teachers pick favourites, ignore issues and simply put down those that do not fit their personal ideals in a student. Favourite students are allowed to run rampant, get involved in personal issues of teachers, bullying issues are not sorted properly and students are left behind. Health is also an issue, with disabilities or mental health issues being ignored, regardless of what the student says to the relevant people. If your child is not typically a teachers pet and favoured by members of staff, do not send them to this school, you’ll find them slowly lose hope, even if they are a good student and work hard, or even like school (I know its rare but we exist), they will become someone you don’t recognise. I survived through pure determination and ignoring the agonisingly clear favouritism and lack of support, but not everyone will.

I was a student at The Priory City of Lincoln Academy school. All of the teachers are amazing at their jobs even though they can be a bit strict it is their jobs to be strict. The Keyworth Centre is there as well which I joined to learn Construction basics and got a level 2 Distinction there because of the teachers helping me to succeed they are the best I highly recommend sending your childeren to this school when they are moving to year 7 and above as it was the best school that I have ever been to.
