winifred holtby is vile. the teachers don’t let u go to toilet when necessary and they don’t let u get dinner if u don’t have money on ur thumb it’s absolutely disgusting. i’m never going back and wouldn’t recommend going there x
Very bad we have to stay in school until the 21st of December Where’s the Christmas spirit
Winifred Holtby Academy has the facilities, and potential to achieve their goal of “outstanding success” in their students’ GCSE results. Most of their staff are understanding and teach to their maximum capabilities, such as Miss kirk, Mr Gent, and Mr Nolan. (Congratulations on the wedding, by the way sir) But, of course, I am biased as they teach me; I guarantee there are many more inspiring teachers I have not met before or I’ve forgotten to mention. However, there are some teachers who have unrealistic expectations or are too strict. For example, extremely hot weather can be stressful during school hours, particularly when most teachers are adamant on enforcing the “blazers have to be on at all times” rule. Granted, they do usually allow them to be taken off during lessons, but I’ve been told countless times to wear it in the corridors and other places, swarming with other hot pupils. Also, the school has introduced “red and green days”, which aren’t only patronising, but are unfair to the majority of the students who follow the rules. In a nutshell, if the staff feel as though there is too much litter, the next day will be a “red day”, which means no food will be served at break times. This is ridiculous because most of the litter is from food brought in from home and not from students who have purchased food on the school site. Therefore, penalising the students who haven’t done anything. On the other hand, there is a range of food the school has to offer. Although the quality is debatable, i enjoy the pizza. (Served Monday- Thursday.) The queues are annoying due to the lack of time given for lunch:25 minutes. (And that’s if you are lucky enough to be let out on time) They’re extremely long and herds of students push in at the front after you’ve spent a third of your dinner time in the line, waiting patiently. However, the dinner ladies are usually kind. As for the students, they have mixed personalities, just like in any school. Winifred Holtby academy isn’t accountable for the way in which their students act, but give them the help they need for their desired level in tear 11.
Isolation room is cold—– now edited 6 months later——- it’s boiling in there you can’t breath if you do then your selfish your stealing people’s air. I recommend leaving your blazer at home if your in isolation that day
